Changes One is a decent collection of Bowie songs circa 69 to 76. All the songs you would expect to be here are here; Changes, Space Oddity, Fame, Young Americans, etc, etc. The only surprise is John, I'm Only Dancing which had never been released on an album before this collection came out. May 22, 2016 As a child of the 90's I somewhat missed the boat on David Bowie, or so I had thought. I purchased this album looking for good sounding analog music and this did not disappoint. One, I didn't realize how many David Bowie songs I did in fact know, but didn't realize they were from him.

Good fortune smiles on everyone, every once in a whileToday it was my turn. At the local Half Price Books, I stumbled across 3 RCA Bowie titles - CHANGESONEBOWIE, CHANGESTWOBOWIE, and FAME AND FASHION - DAVID BOWIE'S ALL TIME GREATEST HITS (dated 1984).

Each was in almost flawless condition. Each was priced at $7.99So now I have at least a hits selection from the Japanese pressed RCA years, to compliment the Ryko, EMI etc.
That I have picked up along the way. When I started buying CDs in 1988, these RCA discs were already off the market. The Fame And Fashion collection definitely sounds different than the two Changes titles. It may sound better, but I may be assigning quality to loudness - it does play at a higher level. I will have to listen again and more closely. The point is, now I can!
ChangesTwoBowie has two RCA CDs, JPN for US and WG. They appear to use the same source tape but the WG is smoother and preferable IMO.Fame and Fashion has four RCA CDs, the JPN for US in Tom's post, an identical JPN for JPN version, the WG and a later JPN for JPN.
The JPN for US is my least favourite as it narrows the stereo over other versions. The second JPN for JPN is brighter than the WG which is warmer and has more bass.
The WG is again my preference here. As with ALL versions of this album, analog as well as digital, the second half (side two of the vinyl) has the channels reversed.
